The next generation of Shimano’s flagship baitcasting series is here. Reengineered for 2019, the new Shimano Antares Baitcasting Reels combine unrivaled casting performance with an elegant and sophisticated design. Featuring Shimano’s new MGL Spool III, an ultra-lightweight spool design with lower inertia for better overall casting performance, the Antares reels require little effort to cast and pitch light lures, while a high level of brake force is possible for long casts with heavier lures. Additionally, S3D Spool and SilentTune minimize bearing vibration for smoother and quieter casts. The Antares’ magnesium Hagane Body provides lightweight rigidity unmatched in its class. X-Ship and MicroModule Gearing offer silky smooth rotation, while SVS Infinity braking allows for precision adjustments on the fly.
